The mortal enemy of the Cicada, the Cicada Killer is a very large wasp that will paralyze the Cicada with it's venomous sting. It will then lay and egg on the back side of the Cicadas leg. When the egg hatches it will eat the Cicada. It's a wasp eat Cicada world out there.
Robber Flies are a notoriously aggressive predator. They are also known as Assassin Flies. This one has captured a Clouded Sulphur which is going to make a nice dinner.
Here a Jeweled Orbweaver Spider encases a Katydid in silk so he can munch on him later.
This Bee is loaded with pollen.
Sometimes you just see these beauties and wonder why haven't I seen this one before. This was the first time I saw this guy. Lucky I had my camera as he landed only for about five seconds before he flew off out of sight.
